Aviva, who is already in the process of exiting the US life and Annuity market, announced that they are going to cut another 2000 jobs in the UK, Europe and Asia. These cuts will take place over the next 6 months and this is equal to 6% of their global workforce. Over the last year, the insurer has already scrapped 2500 jobs. Last year the company posted a net loss of 3 Billion Pounds after a 3.3 Billion Pound write down on the US business that it agreed to sell.
